Should Dating be a Privledge?

Dating bans have been included in idols contracts for a very long time and are considered standard for most entertainment companies. Up until recently dating bans have been considered normal and have been supported by many fans. The perfect example of a recent conflict is the Hyuna and E’Dawn scandal. Hyuna and E’Dawn are both artist that were formerly signed to Cube Entertainment. After promoting their single Retro Future with Triple H rumors went around that they were dating. Cube told the media they were not dating the same time Hyuna went on her personal social media account and admitted that the two have been together for two years. Cube was not happy with the turn of events and forced Hyuna and E’Dawn to leave the label. Fans were devastated that E’Dawn would no longer be in his group Pentagon and disappointed at how Hyuna had been treated after dedicating almost a decade of her like to Cube. This is a perfect example of how dating bans are not only bad for the artist, but also the company.
